This year’s panels are now online. You may view them at
We've added a few more in very recently. Even if you've already written to us to express interest in appearing on panels, you may want to see the new, more complete list.

To sign up to be a panelist, please send an email to programming@minicon47.mnstf.org

Please include the following:

The panels that you are interested in by title
Requests about when you’d like your panels to be scheduled
Whether or not you would consider moderating any of the items that you are volunteering for

If you would like information about scheduling a reading, please contact our Author Readings Co-ordinator directly at kellystrait@minicon47.mnstf.org.

If you would like to suggest someone else as a panelist, or know someone else who would be interested in giving a reading, please include their contact information.

Minicon will be April 6-8 in the same location as last year, at the newly renamed Doubletree hotel in Bloomington, MN. Our Guests of Honor will be author Ted Chiang, fanziner Christopher J Garcia, and artist Frank Wu. If you haven’t registered yet, you may pre-register for Minicon until March 15 - please note that all programming participants must be registered for the convention. Registration information is at the Minicon website at http://www.mnstf.org/minicon47/register

As a point of information, we have significantly more ideas than we will reasonably have room for this year. We expect the schedule to fill up quickly.

This is the official Livejournal community for Minicon, a science fiction convention that has been around for more than forty years. The Minnesota Science Fiction Society (mnstf) puts on the convention each year, usually on Easter weekend in or near Minneapolis.

Minicon 52 will be held April 14-16, 2017 in Bloomington, Minnesota.
